TGIF
What is TGIF?
The Friends of St Cyrs decided to hold irregular social get together where just local villagers to meet. Just like in a Pub or Hotel Bar. These are held on a Friday evenings hence the name TGIF or Thank Goodness It’s Friday!
History of TGIF
Stinchcombe has no Pub nor Hotel. The Yew Tree Inn closed a few years ago. The Prince of Wales Hotel closed during the COVID-19 epidemic. Stinchcombe is spread out into three main housing areas. The Street, Wick Lane and Taits Hill.
A means of getting people to meet is required. Hence TGIF was born.
To qualify to attend
To qualify to attend you need to answer yes to these statements:
- I am social
- I would like to meet my neighbours
- It would be nice to know what is going on in the village
- I want to interact in a friendly atmosphere with others
- I live in Stinchcombe
If you answered yes to the above then TGIF is for you. We meet at the Rugby Club Social Club once or twice a month. Only local Stinchcombe residents of any age are freely invited to come.
