A Talk by author and historian Tony McAleavy

Tony McAleavy has just published the first ever full-length history of Malmesbury Abbey.

Decades of research have bought to light some remarkable discoveries using important manuscripts from the Abbey before it was closed by Henry VIII.

Tony’s research has uncovered tales of murderous Monks, a gangster Abbot and relationships with medieval Kings and Queens.

Come and hear his talk about the strange lives of the Saints and Sinners of Malmesbury Abbey.

7.30 pm on Friday November 10th at Stinchcombe Village Hall

Entrance £5.00 to include a glass of wine. Doors open at 7pm

As this talk is on the eve of Remembrance Sunday, there will be a second chance to see some of Stinchcombe History Society’s displays on the Great War. These will be available to view before and after Tony McAleavy’s talk
