The Inner Wheel Club of Dursley are organising a ‘Sparkling Afternoon Tea ‘ at Stinchcombe Village Hall at 2.30 on March 20th.
The tea is to support Rory’s Well, our local International charity based in Wotton.
Rory’s Well work in Sierra Leone with remote subsistence communities, with very few ways of making a living and minimal resources. Much of what they had was destroyed during the 11 year Civil War, but what they still DO have is determination and
a well organised village democracy. We work holistically with these people to regenerate the village from basic needs to livelihoods and the environment.
Our speaker from the charity is Karen Binns, co-founder of Rory’s Well and is known to many in our area.
The tea, consisting of sandwiches, home-made scones and cakes will end with a glass of Prosecco.
