Stinchcombe Local History Society
Stinchcombe
History Society holds talks every few months in Stinchcombe Village Hall.
We invite guest speakers on varied historical subjects or a members talk
about their own local history research. The Society also puts on
occasional exhibitions, either as a standalone event or in conjunction with a
talk.
These talks and
exhibitions are advertised on the Village Hall calendar,
Stinchcombe Enews, Stinchcombe newsletter, local Facebook pages
and local notice boards.
We are also
actively researching the history of Stinchcombe and the surrounding area.
If you would like to help with an ongoing local history project or have
ideas for new projects, you would be very welcome to join us. Even if
you do not want to be involved in research yourself, you may have valuable
local knowledge to contribute. We would love to hear your memories and
stories of life in and around Stinchcombe. You may also possess
photographs, letters and other material that are worth saving for future
generations. We can make copies of these on the spot and do not need to
take away the originals.
