Everyone who knew my sister Julie remembers her for her glamorous make-up and statement costume jewellery and scarves. When she passed away earlier this year, a large number of friends and family chose items as mementos – and hardly made a dent in her huge collection which is now in my possession.

So, I’ve booked the committee room at the Village Hall and will be holding a sale of jewellery and scarves on the afternoon of Wednesday 9^th November. All proceeds will be split equally between Macmillan, who were there all the way from advice on looking good without hair to the final palliative care, and Many Tears Dog Rescue from whom Julie had several beloved dogs and who took back the two who survived her.
