Fruit Exchange Scheme
Got a bumper crop of apples this year? More pears than you can shake a stick at? This might be useful.
Housing Needs Survey
A big thank you to all who took part in the recent housing needs survey. Take-up was about 30% which is absolutely average for this kind of survey and it provided an interesting picture of Stinchcombe’s current make-up. The full survey results can be seen on the Parish Council website.
A Constable Calls
Police Constable Peter Lay recently attended a Parish Council meeting to introduce himself to the Parish. His visit was interesting and informative and he was very supportive.
He urged residents to sign up for the Polices Community Alerts by going to www.yourcommunityalerts.co.uk and clicking ‘Register’
Apparently there has been some confusion lately about the current status of Dursley Police Station. PC Lay confirmed that it no longer has a public counter service but details of the stations that do can be found at https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact-us/police-stations/
The default communication to the Police Service for general crime, road traffic, motoring or welfare related issues is via 101 or 999
Or the preferred digital channel for non-urgent which are not life threatening, involving a crime in progress, but for purposes of reporting crime and ASB please:
https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact-us/tell-us-about-something/ (or email@example.com – ONLY if internet access is not available)
For less urgent matters of a non-criminal nature and for general advice and guidance: firstname.lastname@example.org
Or non-urgent ongoing Community Concerns in Stinchcombe or the surrounding area: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/ neighbourhood-policing/stroud/dursley-and-cam/
