Memorial Poppy Wreath

WW1 Centenary Commemoration

As many of you will be aware, the Parish now has a Memorial Poppy Wreath support which now stands to the front of the War memorial in the village.

It will support the wreath which is laid annually to commemorate the many lives that were lost from the village to war, also to remember the shattered lives of the ones left behind, and the ones who returned from war but different people mentally or physically to the people who left to fight for our freedom.

Lest We Forget.

The support was beautifully designed by Stinchcombe resident John Pinch, made by a Gloucestershire Blacksmith, and installed by John Pinch and Stinchcombe resident Chris Davies.

It was funded by the Parish Council, Stinchcombe History Society and many contributions from Stinchcombe residents and friends. Thank you to you all.
