Annual Litter Pick

Comments Off on Annual Litter Pick

Can you spare an hour or so to help clean up rubbish on the verges and hedgerows throughout the Parish on roads, lanes, bridleways and footpaths (at Taits Hill / Clingre Down / Taits Hill Road / The Avenue / Northfields / The Street / Church Lane / Echo Lane / Standle Lane / Wick Lane / Stinchcombe Hill)?

Meet at the Village Hall on The Street at 10.30 am on Sunday 25th March. Rubbish bags and litter pickers will be provided. Bring gloves. All ages welcome. No previous experience necessary!

This year we are again particularly targeting those areas which need a really good ‘deep clean’

One of the actions in the Stinchcombe Parish Plan 2008 was to set up an ‘Adopt a Verge’ scheme whereby in between the annual Spring Clean sessions residents would volunteer to look after verges near where they live. This has been running for over three years now and is more effective in some areas than others. ‘Adopt a Verge’ members are urged to keep up the good work in 2012.

Please note that residents who attend the Annual Spring Clean or take part in the ‘Adopt a Verge Scheme’ do so at their own risk. The Parish Council takes no responsibility for their involvement or participation.
