Don’t forget
Stinchcombe Village Hall and Air in G present
The Foundry Group in Gilbert (No Sullivan)
on Saturday 25th February,
7.0pm in the Village Hall

If you haven’t yet seen the refurbishments, this is an ideal opportunity to see the new-look Village Hall so Do come along and enjoy a fun night with the Foundry Group.

Now immortalised for his enduringly popular partnership with composer Arthur Sullivan, W. S. Gilbert was, in his own right, a renowned playwright and master of comic verse. And, long before he met Sullivan, he wrote stories—absurd, outrageous, hilarious stories. The Foundry Group has adapted three of his funniest tales (and two of his best-loved comic ballads) for this sidesplitting new show. Gilbert (No Sullivan) is the perfect night out for aficionados and a great introduction to one of England’s wittiest writers.

The show has been touring since October and has had excellent reviews with comments such as

“A hilarious evening of fun…one can see where modern performers like Tommy Cooper and Tony Hancock got their inspiration.” – Paul Towers, Western Park Gazette
“Hilarious….marvellously interpreted…a very clever show from two enormously talented and very funny actors.”– Louise Schweitzer Brighton Argus

“Fast and beautifully timed…. had the audience in fits of laughter. A very enjoyable evening.” – Deirdre Kincaid, Savoynet
